Tip 1. Be creative with VENUE SELECTION – Simply choosing an interesting venue will help to set the tone and create anticipation. If the venue has some natural features that help with theme direction, that's a great advantage too and will require less styling to be brought in.
Tip 2. Ask the venue what INCLUSIONS are offered. Furniture hire and audio visual production can quickly add up; a venue with a higher per head rate can work out cheaper if they include products and services you might otherwise need to hire in.
Tip 3. To FANCY DRESS or not. In our experience if your group does this well then the tone of the party will be set straight away and the fun will only increase from there. As well, the colour and buzz that that this brings will mean less needs to be spent on styling. Throw in a couple of best dressed prizes to encourage creativity.
Tip 4. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. A couple of well designed and placed props complimented by a well chosen engaging piece of entertainment will always be more memorable and leave a lasting impression. Do a few things really well for maximum results.
Tip 5. FLEXIBLE PRODUCTION. Negotiate with the venue on access times. With larger productions, can you go in first thing in the morning and break while the venue trades over lunch? Can Lighting and Audio be set early or the night before?
